We hosted our first dinner party at the new house.
Went to wash our car and ended up watching the Fat Tire bicycle parade in it’s entirety.
The legionnaire and his Spartan girlfriend stole the show. Marc was complaining about everyone else. “None of these people are very attractive.” But then again, this was the crowd who was riding their bikes to the park so they could drink all day. I am tempted to have our family ride in the parade next year. We could go as ourselves and be entirely original. “Look! People without tattoos!”
Boy installed my new blogging desk in the kitchen. He also put in the cover panels and installed all the missing cabinet hardware. We’ve struck a deal where he will do one thing off my list once a week and I won’t nag. 🙂
A friend gave a bunch of clothes to Jehu at church. Rahab tried to put them all on and turned into a fat boy.
Ottos in the morning.
All the Ottos.
We started school about a month ago. It has been wonderful. I think we were all craving our old routines. And it’s so funny how the kids have so much more fun when they’ve been working hard.
Finally back to menu planning and cooking food. If curried tofu and chard counts as food.
I was even able to start running last week. If .3 miles counts as running.
Gideon and Jehu both bagged squirrels and bought Legos with the blood money.
Jael has started baking again and has decided to start bringing cookies to church every week. Today she bought the stuff for cookie dough truffles. So you’d better be there.
Bruce invited us swimming and in turn we took care of his cherry tomato problem.
And getting into trouble. Way to go Judith. I like how in this picture you can see the remains of one of her multiple, self-administered haircuts. She obviously can’t help it.
