Jael had the good fortune of having her birthday a week after basket case baby was born. I say “good,” because every one felt sorry for her and overcompensated accordingly. I told her she would have to wait to have her real birthday until the baby got his tube out. As it turns out, by then we were celebrating her February birthday in gorgeous weather. I had no choice but to scrap the tea party. And go yard saling.
I have never seen so many yard sales, so close together. The girls ran from one to the next in a froth of glee. It was exclaimed, multiple times, that this was the best birthday party EVER. Dutch Bros and unchaperoned reckless spending. I agree.
When I finally wore them out, we stopped at Chick-fil-A for lunch.
And then I ferried them home with all of their finds.
Which they then dumped out in the driveway for inspection.
The brought home presents for everyone, even the boys.
Judith: Twisty straws, Mardi Gras beads, sparkle cowboy boots, and a naked Barbie. 🙂
Pom poms? A Minecraft pig? Obviously, all things we needed.
