Saturday. All work, no play.
I woke up in the morning and made fresh biscuits for breakfast. Then I laid into a batch of cinnamon rolls to ship out the door to the neighbors. Then I ran some errands and came back and started the second batch of cinnamon rolls for Auntie Piolet and another batch for the librarians. (Because we do feel extra sorry for our librarians.)
In-between, I had Marc running these cookies through the oven as a present for Violet’s teenagers. They only look disgusting because they’re healthy. 🙂 I quadrupled the recipe, so it was 8 bananas, 2 cups coconut oil, 2 cups walnuts, 2 cups peanut butter, 2 cups dark chocolate chips, 2 cups maple syrup, 2 cups raisins, 6 cups oats, 4 cups whole wheat flour, and probably some salt. Basically, I wanted something that was yummy, but could double as a meal on the go, and stay stashed in the freezer. And for your information, this is not a plate. You could go sledding on this. A massive amount of cookies. We had just saran wrapped it when I found a whole other plate I had to sneak in as well.
I don’t know what they’re going to do if the kids don’t like them. Either they will come in handy, or they will haunt Violet’s freezer for the next two years. 😀 Thanks, Miranda.
